NRU Real Estate Investing Coaching Sessions:

Consisting of eight consecutive weekly ½ hour Personal Coaching Sessions (featured below). Nouveau Riche University’s Coaching Program assists students from all walks of life at various levels of investment experience in more rapidly expanding their knowledge and ultimately their investment portfolios. Designed to help you make more informed investment decisions, the program establishes a firm foundation for investing in real estate.

The Coach works in a one-on-one capacity with each student sharing knowledge of investment strategies that support a long and productive investment career. Balancing information with action, the Coach breaks concepts down into small, easy-to-understand components and delivers the information with the motivation, confidence, and insight that enables students to take action. While the topics and content may vary based on each student’s unique needs, current coaching topics include: Fair Market Value, Property Analysis, Wholesaling, Lease Options, Fix and Flip, Buy & Hold and others.

The Coach’s approach to education is sequential in that the next learning session is built upon the previous one. Students are launched down a yet undiscovered path of truly understanding “what” to do and then acting on the information learned to more rapidly apply the information learned to investment opportunities. In addition to presenting real-life investment scenarios and helping the student establish realistic expectations, other program learning objectives include:

Searching for, analyzing, and assessing the value of potential real estate properties
Establishing clear objectives
Identifying market conditions that can impact property acquisition and sale

Offering a ‘no stress method’ of choosing the best course of investment action given the student’s personal preferences, experience, and life situations, the Coaching Program both motivates and empowers. Aiding the student in identifying the tools, resources, and strategies available to them, the program gives students a ‘leg up’ on uninformed investors!

Coach Melissa - Many of you may know Melissa Bloxham from NRU’s Coaching Program. As the Head Coach and a true student-advocate with a heart of gold, Melissa has helped numerous students grasp critical real estate investing concepts through the Coaching Program. She is excited to join NRU Students in the classroom as a part of our elite group of Faculty members. Melissa states, “My passion is to teach my students how to take action to become successful real estate investors.”

Before joining the Nouveau Riche Team as Head Coach, Melissa was a personal real estate investment consultant for nine years. Learning various investment strategies as a student of four nationally recognized real estate educators, she put her knowledge into action. Her investment specialties include tax liens, deed certificates, trustee sales, pre-foreclosures, and fix & flip properties. Her coaching accolades include: “highest success rate of all coaches” and “top-producing mentor in 2005.” Adept at teaching students from all walks of life at various levels of investment experience, she has been the catalyst for many of her students’ expanded residential real estate portfolios.

Coach Julie - Julie Jacobs paved her path in real estate investing after transitioning from an 8-year consulting career. She entered the real estate investing field in 2002, when the consulting market slowed and foreclosures increased. This single mom of 13 years developed a thorough understanding of the real estate investing process, from property location and initial negotiations with homeowners, to presenting offers, getting the deed, and flipping the property. Today, Julie possesses first-rate, vast experience with pre-foreclosures, FSBOs, lease options, and buy and hold rentals. Adept at spotting market trends, Julie prides herself on keeping a pulse on business relocations. Her resourcefulness, persistence, ability to connect the dots, and big thinker mentality combine to form her strongest skill—the ability to network to make a good deal work.

Julie’s “insider” understanding of the extreme importance of coaching is a direct result of personally beginning her real estate investing career with a field expert mentor. As such, she believes that the mechanics of a transaction are not the only factor in a good deal; Julie is living proof of the power of positive mentorship and a desire to succeed.

In her spare time, Julie is an avid reader who loves to write, hike, walk the family dog, sail, photograph wildlife, and volunteer for a local non-profit group. As an active real estate investor who loves coaching, she looks forward to helping Nouveau Riche University students successfully navigate the real estate investing waters.

Coach Paul - Paul Heiber began his career in real estate as a junior appraiser for a small residential appraisal firm in St. Petersburg, Florida, in 1992. His mentors taught him various techniques and approaches used to determine property values. This knowledge, combined with his deep entrepreneurial spirit, fueled his endeavor to open his own real estate brokerage in 1998. Through real estate investing, Paul has not only helped himself, but also his family and friends to create true wealth. As a full- time investor, he primarily focuses on short sales and possesses wide expertise in fix and flips, tax lien certificates, pre-construction, and lease options.

Paul describes his greatest pleasure in life, besides the birth of his two children, as a strong desire to help others. As a pragmatic teacher, he finds great joy in sharing his knowledge and experiences in order to help others achieve financial success through real estate investing.
