Jim Piccolo – President, CEO and Co-founder

Jim Piccolo, Chancellor of Nouveau Riche University, has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Nouveau Riche Corporation since October 2000. Mr. Piccolo brings with him more than 20 years of extensive business experience, ranging from President and Chief Executive Officer of a privately-held, multi-national manufacturing company, to a publicly-traded, international marketing company with four, wholly-owned subsidiaries in the United States and international concerns. Michael Ten Eyck – Curriculum Advisory Board Chairman

In 2005, Michael Ten Eyck brought over 20 years of information services administration experience and over 10 years experience in the higher education industry to his position as Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer of the Education Division for Nouveau Riche University. Garnering business management experience at such well-known companies as Alltel Information Systems, National Foundation Life Insurance and Southwestern Public Service, Mr. Ten Eyck’s day-to-day duties included participating in the Nouveau Riche University “Brain Trust” that was assembled to create new curriculum and manage existing curriculum for the company’s college and educational systems. He is the former president of the Higher Education User Group, an association of over 10,000 higher education professionals representing over 700 campuses worldwide that operate the information systems for major universities and higher education institutions, as well as the former Chairman for the prestigious St. Andrew’s School Board. Currently, Mr. Ten Eyck helps run the Real Market Experts® Franchises of Phoenix and Nevada, a company focused on locating, evaluating, and providing investment properties to the Nouveau Riche University community of investors. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in business administration with a focus on management information systems from Texas Tech University and a Master’s degree in business administration from Texas Christian University.

Carmen Payne – Vice President of Product Development

Currently serving as Vice President of Product Development at Nouveau Riche University, Carmen Payne is an ambitious and results-oriented professional offering over 20 years of diverse experience in project research, planning, execution, and success. Driven by a spirit of excellence, Ms. Payne’s track record extends to mature companies, startups, and restructures alike. Armed with a broad-based competence, strong reasoning ability, and a knack for quickly establishing rapport, she is experienced in both the public and private sectors from marketing to construction management to business administration. In her first “real” job, Ms. Payne was the youngest and most lauded property manager of a savings and loan company where she managed a portfolio of over $30 million in commercial, residential, and raw land properties. Welcomed to the Nouveau Riche team in May 2003, she has served in various capacities and quickly rose to her current position of Vice President of Product Development. Her strong data handling, communication, and people skills allow her to multi-task various responsibilities and interface with cross-functional teams as she spearheads production control methods that ensure the product quality of the Nouveau Riche educational experience. Personally interviewing and selecting the Nouveau Riche Academy Instructors, she coordinates the content development for both the R2E2™ home-study products and each college course. A decision-maker with a keen ability to think on her feet, Ms. Payne’s focus is customer satisfaction. She’s adept at working in high-pressure environments and attributes her success to being an effective controls manager who is able to set a target, measure performance, and take corrective action to ensure goal attainment. Her guiding principles are integrity, perseverance, and a belief that you can achieve whatever you set your mind and heart to. Ms. Payne is currently attending the University of Phoenix working on her B.S. Business Administration degree.

Mark J. Kohler - CPA, Attorney at Law

Mark Kohler obtained an undergraduate degree in accounting and a Masters degree in accounting with tax emphasis from the University of Utah. He then graduated from Willamette College of Law located in Salem, Oregon in 2000. Mr. Kohler is an Attorney, Certified Public Accountant and Entrepreneur. He has owned numerous businesses since high school, through college and even as a professional. Now, his principal occupation is that of a “tax attorney” and as a partner in the law firm Kyler Kohler & Ostermiller, LLP, and the accounting firm Kohler & Eyre, CPAs, LLP. Mr. Kohler specializes in the areas of business, estate and tax planning and even further in regards to real estate asset protection and tax planning. He owns several commercial real estate projects and loves the people, transactions and everything to do with real estate. Mr. Kohler has also been speaking for a number of organizations, authoring articles, appearing as a guest on radio shows, and is currently working on a new book. His most prestigious designation is that of being on the faculty of Nouveau Riche University, a real estate education company. Additionally, Mr. Kohler speaks regularly as a Continuing Education Speaker for the Utah Division of Real Estate, is a regular contributor to the Utah Realtor© Magazine, and is an adjunct professor at Southern Utah University. Many that attend his seminars/courses are surprised to see how exciting, interesting and even fun a discussion regarding tax and legal planning can be. He has the ability to distill complex legal and tax strategies in common layperson terms, adding interesting stories and anecdotes. James Ullman – Attorney at Law

James Ullman has more than 35 years of experience as an attorney and focuses his practice on franchising, intellectual property and education law. His accolades include one of the "Best Lawyers in America" for 10 consecutive years. He has held leadership roles in several education organizations and public boards including a member of the State Board of Education from 1991-1997, President of the board in 1995; a member of the State Board of Directors of Community Colleges of Arizona from 1990-1997, Chairman of the board in 1995; a member of the Panel of Arbitrators of the American Arbitration Association; a member of the American Bar Association’s Forum Committee on Franchising from 1982 to the present; the Chairman of Seminars on Franchising for the State Bar of Arizona in 1987 and 1989; the President of the National Organization on Legal Problem of Education (1992) now Education Law Association; and a member of the Council of Franchise Suppliers of the International Franchise Association. Additionally, Mr. Ullman is a published author and lecturer. He earned a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and a Juris Doctor degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo Law School. Mr. Ullman is admitted to practice in Arizona, the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of New York, the Supreme Court of the United States, and the U.S. Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit.
