This class sheds new light on tried and true fundamentals of financial goal setting and achievement. Raising awareness of debt management strategies and presenting the rationale and principles of budgeting, the class will teach students how to conduct prudent due diligence, how to live within their means to eliminate debt, and how to become more conscious, proactive consumers. This hands-on session will examine the benefits of tighter expense controls, share an overview of credit reports and scores, and review time-proven, wealth-building success principles.

Course Objectives:
Understand financial literacy terminology. Learn how to create sound financial habits. Understand the components and principles of budgets. Review the nature and benefits of credit. Learn how to conduct due diligence on checking account and credit card types, fees, features, and benefits. Understand how to become a more conscious consumer.
