Prior to this, Phil worked various sales, management and marketing positions, building and training sales teams. As a championed leader, he also served as an "apprentice" to Sharon Lechter (his mother) with the Rich Dad Poor Dad Company. In his six years as the Chief Communications Officer, he accelerated as a leader, training coaches, seminar leaders, clubs and individuals, and developing strategic partnerships as well as starting up a global franchise division. Mike Ten Eyck

Joining Nouveau Riche in 2005, Mike Ten Eyck brought to his position as Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer of the Education Division over 20 years of information services administration experience and over 10 years experience in the higher education industry. Garnering business management experience at such well- known companies as Alltel Information Systems, National Foundation Life Insurance, Southwestern Public Service and Texas Christian University, Mike Ten Eyck participated in Nouveau Riche's "Brain Trust," creating new curriculum and managing existing curriculum. The former Chairman for the prestigious St. Andrew's School Board, he is also the former president of the Higher Education User Group, an association of over 10,000 higher education professionals representing over 700 campuses worldwide that operate the information systems for major universities and higher education institutions. Currently, Mike Ten Eyck manages the Real Market Experts® Franchise of Phoenix and works with the RME corporate office focused on locating, evaluating, and providing investment properties to the Nouveau Riche Community of investors. THE ROCK

Over the last ten years, legendary rock and roll entertainer, Alice Cooper, and his good friend, Chuck Savale, a former youth pastor, have teamed up in an effort to make a major impact on the lives of adolescents in Arizona and beyond. In November of 1995, along with a five member board of directors, they started the Solid Rock Foundation, to build solutions to the growing problem.

Mr. Cooper and Mr. Savale envisioned a center for teens, which would provide a means for them to grow and prepare for their future—THE ROCK Teen Center. A Christian-run, safe-haven for teens, THE ROCK will encourage the development of their talents, allowing them to build confidence in a supportive environment and discover their passions through self-expression and creativity in music, sports, and education. THE ROCK teen facility will be built on Grand Canyon University property donated to Solid Rock Foundation. It will attract local teens throughout the Valley of the Sun with a coffee house/main concert hall, open mic, recording and sound room, game room, computer lab, basketball/floor hockey court, and rock climbing walls, as well as football, baseball, and skateboarding.

Working with local churches and community groups, the Solid Rock Foundation intends to design weekly events to encourage teens to make smart choices during their challenging adolescent years. THE ROCK also aims to work with Grand Canyon University staff to create quality after-school programs, where students can gain hands-on experience working with teens. Furthermore, it will strive to help teens develop their leadership skills by creating an advisory board of directors comprised of teens, who will meet regularly to discuss the pros and cons of the center and discuss their findings with the Board of Directors of Solid Rock Foundation.

JUDI’S HOUSE

Judi’s House was founded in 2002 by Brian Griese, currently the Quarterback with the Chicago Bears, in honor of his mother Judi, who died when he was twelve years old. Judi’s House aims to help grieving youth between the ages of three and eighteen in finding hope and healing in the loss of their loved ones. It provides youth with a unique opportunity to participate in peer support groups with people their own age who are going through similar things.

Judi’s House offers free grief support services to help ensure no child feels alone in grief. Since its opening in 2002, it has helped over 1,700 youth and adult caregivers. Unlike other support groups, children meet in age appropriate groups and a mental health professional and trained volunteers facilitate the group, but do not counsel. Instead, children lead one another through their grief process, as they talk about their feelings and express themselves in a variety of activities. Judi’s House offers four types of groups (on-going, time-limited, Spanish-speaking, and in-school) and lets the individual decide how long he/she wants to continue attending group. Adult caregivers also have the opportunity to meet with other caregivers while their children are in group, which grants them the ability to discuss their own grief and learn about grief so that they may better understand their children’s behavior.

“HOCKEY NIGHT IN ARIZONA”

The “Hockey Night in Arizona” charity event on February 1, 2007 drew crowds from near and far to help raise money for Arizona’s aspiring super-star hockey players. Thousands joined in to support the financial needs of the Phoenix Firebirds, who have earned a spot at the Quebec City World Championship of Peewee Hockey, as Arizona’s first hockey team to represent Arizona at this tournament! Each year, young hockey players from 16 countries travel to Quebec City, Canada to play against the best of the best in this tournament of champions. The Phoenix Firebirds join the ranks of many of NHL’s best who have experienced this life-changing event, including Brad Park, Guy Lafleur, Mark Howe, Wayne Gretzky, and Eric Lindros.

“Hockey Night in Arizona” was a night to help make dreams come true for these hopeful athletes. It featured a Phoenix Coyotes versus Nashville Predators game, dinner in the Rink Side Club, plus special events with Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Michael Barnett, Claude Lemieux, Jeremy Roenick, Curtis Joseph, Ulf Samuelson, Ladislav Nagy, Shane Doan, and Mike Comrie. PROJECT WATER PURIFIERS TO AFRICA

“In Ethiopia and Kenya, access to improved water sources isn’t available to 76% of the population,” said Justin Narducci, a graduate student at Thunderbird School of Global Management in Glendale, AZ. Specializing in international development, Justin participates in an international development forum. Through this forum, he became aware of a potential donation of 20k water purification units from a company who, due to FDA regulations, could not sell the units in the United States. (The units’ earliest expiration date is June, 2007, and although the units are perfectly operable after the expiration date, the FDA only allows for a standard lifespan of two years for such products.) Justin immediately thought of Florence Muindi, a medical doctor running the non-profit organization Life in Abundance International (LIA) in both Ethiopia and Kenya, whom he spent ten days with in Ethiopia helping her organization about thirteen months prior. Florence’s organization strives to improve health conditions for the poor in Ethiopia and Kenya by empowering the local churches to take care of those in their midst.

Justin worked to secure 13k of the remaining units to support the LIA mission to help orphans, AIDS victims, and the urban poor in Africa. He stated, “The Triton purifiers will be provided to members of the communities to produce clean drinking water for entire households. By not having to boil their water, fuel will be better utilized for cooking purposes, and health will also improve dramatically….[even] after the filtration capacity is reached, the units will still provide extremely high levels of purified water that will kill the bacteria at a nearly perfect capacity.”
After securing the 13k units, Justin faced the challenge of raising approximately $8k to ship them to Africa before they expire, so as to import them duty free. Justin’s target ship date is before the end of March, 2007.

When Justin’s father, Tony Narducci, an advocate for the Solid Rock Foundation and personal friend of NRU CEO Jim Piccolo, informed him of Justin’s cause, Jim Piccolo whole-heartedly offered to contribute the remaining funds necessary to ship the units. Independent Training Associate (ITA) – Anyone who would like to represent NRU and earn commissions must “apply” to become an authorized ISA. Effective September 4th, all applicants will be designated as Independent Training Associates (ITAs), working towards ISA certification (at specific product level). An ITA must pass an "Entrance Exam" before beginning the training process. Through this training process, the ITA will learn about NRU products, entering orders, ensuring proper expectations are set, etc. Once training sales have been completed, the ITA must then take the “ISA Certification Exam.” After passing the “ISA Certification Exam,” the individual becomes a Certified ISA (at specific product level). Write-Sign System – the simplified order completion process. Effective September 4th, no more faxing documents for signature verification! Individuals will be able to sign online with a real signature using innovative technology that complies with and goes beyond the Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (E-SIGN Act). The new and improved order process means ISAs will be able to obtain order information via phone or an Order Information Form, the customer will receive an email with a link to the order summary and product Terms & Conditions, and the customer can then "Write-Sign" the Terms & Conditions using a computer mouse or PDA stylus! Media Vault – an excellent addition to recruiting activities, helping you pre-screen and pre-qualify prospective students! Soon you will be able to send multi-media presentations and training from your Business Center to prospective students and team members—enjoy a 60-day FREE trial period! Select the recipient(s) and the item(s) to be sent and enjoy the added benefit of an automatic system tracking of item(s) sent to contacts! Send presentations to your prospects, help them see just what NRU is all about, and allow them to fill out a follow up form. This new system will enable you to see the results from their follow up form, hone in on their interests, and enlighten others on the ways to change their financial future with NRU! Nouveau Riche University is honored to announce the feature story on Jim Piccolo, NRU Co-founder, CEO and President, and Nouveau Riche University in the May/June 2007 issue of PERSONAL REAL ESTATE INVESTOR MAGAZINE! Appropriately dubbed a “Master Investor,” Jim Piccolo divulges the story behind the creation of NRU, bringing to light the “better alternative” known to those with the good fortune of being introduced to the NRU Community.

“This master investor’s story is about discovering the benefits of real estate investment and the passion to pass on his revelations….Unlike the gurus…he went about teaching by actually caring that his students profited by the education they paid for, and that the education had universal value.”

Here are some excerpts from the article:

His story began when he realized how well the real estate associated with what his 28 companies were doing. "Wait a minute - we bought this building for $1 million and now it's worth $4 million, and maybe we made a half million a year on the bottom line over the last three years," he said. "We made more money just owning the real estate than we did running the business. That kind of got me excited about real estate and doing more with it...

Back to Piccolo's bad day. Eighty-five percent of the students, both the $20 book buyers and the $50,000 seminar junkies, weren't buying real estate. He put the seminar junkies in a separate group and asked them why they hadn't bought any homes after dropping $30,000 to $50,000 on learning how to. "The top reason was fear," he said. "Fear is born from lack of confidence. Lack of confidence is born from lack of education... We thought we needed to learn more about learning. That was the turning point for Nouveau Riche. The only way to learn more about learning was to go find an expert on learning..."

He and his partners hired a PhD from San Diego State to teach them about learning. They found out about a very simple process, used by every university in the country, called instructional systems design. Piccolo gather every piece of real estate education. "Every book, CD, tape, eight-track - it filled a room." The PhD and his team tore apart all the information and found about 20,000 things you need to know to be a residential real estate investor. They brought in subject matter experts, who categorized all the knowledge. "There was information about mortgages. There was information about landlording. There was information about legal, how to structure yourself. There was information about taxes, renovation - a whole big bucket of information..."

In Piccolo's lap sat two things: a strict set of academic criteria and the knowledge that not all of his students had been to college. "We found that gap, and we built a preference-driven system," he said. "When a customer joins Nouveau Riche University, they decide they want a tuition package... They fill out a personal preference questionnaire. We're going to teach you what you want to know..."

"The gurus are going to stand up in front of a room full of a thousand people and say, 'This is my system. Do as I do.' Realistically, less than 25 percent of that group has a specific interest in that particular preference." Why study medicine if you want to learn about law? Why learn about renovation when you want to learn about hard money?...

NRU has a 93 percent customer approval rating. The school grew 500 percent in 2006. More than 3,000 students will have enrolled by the end of this summer... "We went back and did a survey of our investors," Piccolo said. "Sixty-seven percent of the have purchased real estate. We built a curriculum around the way people learn, and that's what sets us apart. We've made real estate investment education legitimate...."
